A by-youth-for-youth Sustainability FORUM

EnviroPAST (Plastic And Sustainability Talks) is an initiative and forum, bringing together young people and experts in an exciting mix of speaker sessions, workshops and community projects. This year, the forum is taking place in Ōtautahi Christchurch on July 12 & 13 at the University of Canterbury.

2024 Programme

SEE WHAT AWAITS YOU AT ENVIROPAST 2024

This year’s forum will explore how we can live more sustainably in our urban environments. The full programme is still being finalised, but here are a few things to get excited about!

Hands-on workshops designed to leave you with new skills. You'll have a wide range to choose from, with skills covered ranging from engaging with government to making everyday changes to live a more sustainable life.
Thought-provoking speakers. You'll hear a wide range of perspectives on our urban environment, drawing on both Western science and indigenous knowledge.
A panel session exploring how you can incorporate your passion for the planet into your adult life. You'll hear from speakers who have made it their full-time job and others who have kept their activism alive in their spare time.
Practical action in the community. You'll get to help out with a local environmental project, such as a tree planting! You'll also get to participate in a climate cafe and feed into government environmental decision-making.
The forum is fully funded, which means there's no cost to attend. What's more, your registration includes catered lunches and breaks, all workshop materials and more - all at no cost!
